The Automobile Club d'Andorra gives green light to an old sports project: an authentic rally on snow, night, open to classic cars and designed by a traffic-free, compact and affordable itinerary, where prime real driving but with ease before, during and after the test. A concept that seeks to recover the spirit of adventure of the past, adapting to current needs.

With the intention of returning the spotlight to the magic of the ascent to the Port d'Envalira 60s and 70s, or living in the XXI century those rallies that marked the path followed by the specialty, the Andorran entity presents the first edition a different rally: the ANDORRA WINTER rALLY, test vehicles regularly to try to revive historical epic rally on snow before.

The Automobile Club d'Andorra has the firm conviction that we must continue to innovate in the world of rallying regularity, the evidence does not have to be strenuous for pilots and a walk without much sense, why test format poses a very compact, focusing their efforts on ensuring a path on snow, always in full control of the test we evolve with road closed and all the security features available to the ACA.

Andorra rally ground

Besides racing in the country organized by the Automobile Club itself d'Andorra, their roads have been under test where you have a lot of prestige much of its development throughout history. The current RACC world had at its inception (1957) to the principality as their final stage and even in Andorra la Vella finished editing. The special of the Port d'Envalira called those years "Fra Miquel," was a tough challenge before the car entered France Pas de la Casa and when they did to this country Andorra border enclave. Also at the time the Rally Barcelona-Andorra (1965) and later Vendrell-Andorra (1970) were the top in rallies linear pathway.

Snow insured, guaranteed enjoy riding

The ANDORRA WINTER RALLY will start late in the afternoon of Saturday, December 20, culminating around midnight. 7 shall be the special stages, 3 of them with guaranteed snow surface, as the rally held 3 special 7 in the Circuit d'Andorra Pas de la Casa, which ensures contact of equipment with white element which are very benign weather conditions.

The other sections are to contest Canillo and Ordino, which are located in the famous "Coll d'Ordino" port along which both special (the same stretch in both directions), which is closed to traffic on December 1 with intends to preserve as far as possible in optimum winter conditions to dispute the rally.
