Tour de Corse Historique
3-10 October, Calvi, Corsica Island, France
The Tour de Corse Historique is one of the great European rallies for historic vehicles: five days of competition, more than 1,000 km and 19 special stages on the roads that made the “10,000 bends rally” legendary. In 2026, the event starts in Calvi and crosses Corsica, passing through Lucciana, Propriano and Ajaccio before returning to Calvi.
You can compete in VHC/Classic speed, or in VHRS sport regularity. In VHRS, FIA historic vehicles up to 1990 and production touring cars and GTs up to 31 December 1996 are accepted, with four average-speed levels.
It is a rally to mark in your calendar (although entries sell out in just one day): the level of the participants is high. Good driving, a reliable car and a co-driver who wants to enjoy every one of the 10,000 bends in the route are essential.
Reconnaissance is essential, although it is also difficult because of logistics and the time required to do it.
Having pace notes for the stages is indispensable, and preparing before the rally is an experience that should also be taken as part of the event.
Using GPS devices with the combination Blunik II PLUS and REGO is a good strategy for the high average speeds.
Having professional reconnaissance can allow you to approach the rally with much greater confidence and sporting spirit.
