Many of you have wanted it, have asked us for it, and as you’ve behaved so well .... here you have it, a quick-fit sensor to install your Blunik in any car and measure distances with precision.
Years ago we designed the magnetic sensor for rally cars. And the result was and still is reliability and durability.
Later we made an external sensor that we installed to the car on the same day of the rally to gather timings or to the zero car to check distances. Until today this was a Blunik internal “invention”, useful for our work as timing controllers.
We have worked to turn this “invention” into a sellable, useful, reliable and long-lasting product. We have baptised it with the name of QUICK SENSOR.
The Quick Sensor is quickly and easily fitted to the exterior of any car, not requiring any mechanical know-how. A simple 3-minute video will show you how it is fitted.
The function of the Quick Sensor is to measure precisely with a Blunik device the distances in out-of-rally situations, that is, in reconnaissance of sections, when you participants take your notes, examine the best line, etc.
Making reconnaissance is a first step. Obtaining good notes with the exact distances can get you onto the podium.
Quick Sensor is also for rally organisers, who have to cover the timed sections more than once to create the roadbook and carry out the verifications.
Now, with the Quick Sensor, any car - a hire car, a road car, a holiday car or a work car - can be used to measure total and partial distances with precision.
The Quick Sensor incorporates all the complements for fitting. We have thought of all the details, such as 3 magnets of different sizes that adapt to different types of wheels.
It also includes a Blunik calibration tape measure, which measures the wheel of the car and instead of centimetres tells you the calibration parameter value you have to feed into the Blunik.
